| Dating and placement | The book has no colophon. However in a poem authored by Soncino and included in its last page, he mentions an encounter at the Venice print shop of Daniel Bomberg (the so-called "poem on Mumar Marrano"), which according to the narration took place "in the month of January of the year p.r.h [i.e., Hebrew year 5250]". This means the terminus post quem for the book's production is after January 1525. |
